I AM an extraordinary Nero d’Avola, I was born around the countryside area of Caltanissetta, in the center of Sicily.
EIMÌ from the ancient Greek “I am”, is a Nero d’Avola wine 2016 by Tenute Lombardo; the company for over half a century has been taking care of the land and vineyards, thanks to the laboriousness and commitment of father Giuseppe, who transmitted his same vision and great passion to Salvatore, Gianfranco e Roberto, the three brothers who are nowadays running the company.
Tenute Lombardo is a reference point in the production of wine in central Sicily, it is in Serradifalco, with an altitude between 550 and 650 meters above sea level.
The dry land (500-600 mm of rain per year) and the gap of temperature, till 15 degrees, that incurs between day and night, pose numerous challenges but also many opportunities to produce elegant and yet consistent wines, rich in freshness, fruitiness, and intense aromas.
Lombardo Family strongly believe in the high potential of native Sicilian vines, in particular Nero d’Avola, Catarratto as well as Grillo and Moscato Bianco and Frappato.
In 2006 the company has completed the whole supply chain, all the processes are held within it, from the vinification, production of Spumante Charmat method, bottling, aging in French oak.
The most representative estate is surely Sualtezza, an old farmhouse that has been restored in 2013, today is a great place were enjoying good wine, genuine and typical food, surrounded by nature. Thanks to its 650 meters a.s.l., from here you can enjoy a very extended view of Sicily.

I am EIMÌ 2016, by Tenute Lombardo, the fruit of the most accurate selection of Nero d’Avola grapes and a meticulous red vinification.
A wine aged in barrels of French oak for 18 months and with a strong personality that presents intense purplish color, at the smell has notes aromatic herbs perfume especially spicy, black pepper and dark chocolate.
At the sip, you will experience a full, velvety, and persistent taste.
Served at the serving temperature of 18 ºC, I marry divinely with red meats and mature cheeses. With a succulent plum suckling pig or a glazed steak. I AM the wine you will not forget!
