Company history
The Fazio winery is born from the synergistic fusion of viticultural traditions rooted in time and productive energies projected into the future.
For years the Fazio family has dedicated itself with passion and commitment to the production of quality wines, and thanks to the precious collaboration of partner and wine maker Giacomo Ansaldi, in recent years has concentrated time and energy to the enhancement of its territory and to the best vines that are radiant expression
Hence the idea of pursuing the recognition of the Erice DOC, strongly desired and today the fundamental nucleus of the company production appreciated and known in the major foreign markets
The Nero d'Avola, the Grillo, the Catarratto, but also the Müller Thurgau, the Cabernet Sauvignon, the Syrah, are grown on the gentle slopes of Mount Erice, on the hilly ridge that goes from 200 to 600 meters above sea level, caressed from the north winds, nourished by soils rich in calcareous marl and volcanic components, absolutely unique for their concentration of aromas and their unmistakable elegance.

Territory
The area of the Doc Erice is located in the western part of Sicily to the north of the Trapani town. A legendary area full of historical sites unique in the world, and naturalistic places of a rare beauty. Wines like Grillo, Catarratto, Insolia e Nero d'Avola have been here cultivated since ages, and found in the area of Erice their natural home.
Catarratto: a vineyard of 60 years
The vineyards to sapling greek property of Tosto family, adopted by Fazio Winery to avoid extinctio., It has an age of about 60 years and represent a real archaeological find of the Sicilian viticulture.
