With enthusiasm and great passion the Morreale Agnello family is committed to carrying out a project aimed to enhance the autochtonous grape varieties of the territory with utmost respect for nature. Love for the our territory and respect for nature are essential elements of the company philosophy that have given life to a long lasting project of organic and sustainable agriculture.
The estate is located in the sunny and breezy southern coast of Sicily, few kilometers from the Valley of the Temples and the Scala dei Turchi white cliff, in the heart of an area traditionally suited to agriculture. Tenuta Morreale Agnello covers an area 200 hectares among vineyards and almond and olive groves. A place full of sun and aromas, where the magic of the emerald color of the vineyards with the blue of the nearby sea create an extraordinary scenario for those who love nature, art and the millenary history of Sicily.
Tenuta Morreale Agnello directly manages a vineyard area of about 60 hectares. The vineyards form a natural theater around the building where the modern cellar is located. The perfect exposure, the particular microclimate, the favorable peculiarities of the soil and the optimal yield per hectare make the land ideal for the genuine production of local wines. Both native varieties such as Zibibbo, Grillo, Catarratto, Inzolia, Nero d'Avola and Perricone are grown, as well as allochthonous vines such as Viognier, Merlot and Syrah. All wines are produced from single varieties in purity in order to enhance their uniqueness and the particular characteristics of the terroir.
