Duca di Salaparuta: Sicilian excellence in the world

Duca di Salaparuta is one of the oldest and most prestigious Sicilian wineries, with a history dating back to 1824. The company is located in Casteldaccia, in western Sicily, and produces a wide range of wines.

History of Duca di Salaparuta

The company was founded by Giuseppe Alliata, a Sicilian entrepreneur who had made his fortune in the salt trade. Alliata decided to invest in Marsala wine, a wine that was already famous all over the world, and had a large winery built in Casteldaccia.

Over the years, Duca di Salaparuta has continued to grow and improve its production. The company has acquired other vineyards throughout Sicily and has developed new winemaking techniques.
