Duca di Salaparuta

About us

The Duca di Salaparuta Group brings together three historic brands that represent Sicily and Italy in the world: Corvo and Duca di Salaparuta, born in 1824, and Florio born in 1833. United in a single reality by the Reina family, the two Companies are today the first private wine group of the island and tell the history and the land through beautiful places such as the Estates and the historic wineries of Marsala and Casteldaccia, but especially through the wines..

Duca di Salaparuta Winery

The noble Alliata di Villafranca, Duke of Salaparuta, were curious, irreverent and innovative Spirits and contributed to lay the foundations of modern Sicilian enology and beyond. Great patrons, lovers of arts and culture, Alliata have been protagonists of the history of the island, helping to make known and love the Sicilian vines around the world, and constitute the beginning of our history.. Ours is a challenge that was born 200 years ago, a sentimental journey made of territory, work and vision. A story of redemption made by people who have marked the path of this great wine project that lasts since 1824.. The guided tour of our cellars is a sensory journey through the barrels, where they refine the great wines of the Duke of Salaparuta, comes to the suggestive tasting room, where the wines of the area meet the traditional foods, then finish in the seductive Enoteca for a moment of shopping in the name of Made in Sicily.

Florio Winery

A history dating back to 1833. A family, the Florio family, with a legendary history. The first example of a Sicilian business with a modern and international outlook. Three generations who made it possible for Sicily to become the heart of the world’s economy and culture, the owners of the first Italian shipping company (Navigazione Generale Italiana), the inventors of tinned tuna in oil, and the organisers of the first Italian car race, the Targa Florio. The family that made Marsala Florio famous overseas. A Winery steeped in tradition and craftsmanship, a bearer of knowledge when it comes to creating Italian fortified wine: Marsala.
The Florio Wine Cellars gaze out towards the sea in Marsala, Western Sicily. With grapes caressed by breezes and flavourful due to the proximity to the sea, the magnificent and silent Florio Wine Cellars house more than 3,000 oak casks of different sizes and ages where the Marsala Florio wines age, seemingly motionless. A Winery steeped in tradition and craftsmanship, a bearer of knowledge when it comes to creating Italian fortified wine: Marsala. Today, the Wine Cellars welcome guests in four tuff-stone aisles, separated by pointed arches and surrounded by about six million litres of ever-evolving Marsala wine.
