The GIASIRA estate, Giovanni Boroli Farm, extends for about 130 hectares at an altitude between 160 and 220 m asl in the Ritillini district in the Municipality of Rosolini, stretching in the territories of Siracusa and Ragusa.
The term Giasira (localy splet Gisira or Gesira) has got Arabic origin and means "Island". It was the name of the site where the estate is located, isolated from the deep erosive canyons which run through the Iblean Upland.
The estate, outlined by traditional dry stone walls, is located between the cities of Noto and Modica, both towns are present in the UNESCO World Heritage. The Prainito river flows between the high rocky walls of Cava Paradiso through the estate.
